Our Story
Every now and then, a tram stops in front of our shop, but that’s just how things are on Odermannstraße. That is where we have our small shop, right in the heart of Leipzig’s west, where we all make our home. This corner of the city has always been defined by creativity and entrepreneurship, a tradition we want to continue—with a small specialty coffee roastery where we bring our vision of coffee to life.
This vision didn't come out of nowhere; each of us has already spent many years in the industry. We have worked at the roaster and behind the counter, gained experience in the international green coffee trade, and seen the marketing and sales side of the product. We have explored the sensory potential of our product and sought, and sometimes found, answers to questions of intercontinental economic ethics. We have learned that a good cup of coffee is no accident, but only arises where a long chain of passionate individuals picks up where the previous person left off, building upon it with intelligence and respect. We bring all our impressions together at Fabric.
Working on one’s own vision is never finished; perspective never stands still. And so, Fabric is also a project that will constantly evolve. In doing so, we stand on the shoulders of giants, namely all those companies that have brought us this far. We owe them our thanks; you know who you are. Without them, Fabric could not exist in this form.
